Each year, collect an ornament that has some significance for events of that year. Be it firsts like first Christmas, First Home, Expecting, Engaged, Retired, New Home, New Job, Favourite Sport, the list is endless and you can find the ornaments in this collection. 

Make it a family affair- each person gets an ornament for that year. It could just be something they love.

Some people bring their children or grandchildren every year to choose a special item or ornament that they love. It's a fun annual tradition. 

Others choose themselves for everyone they love. 

One family has each person choose for a selected other and they secretly bring it to us where we wrap it in tissue and place it in a bag. On Christmas eve they exchange the item that was chosen for them.

One family has a single person each year thoughtfully choose for all of the other members of the family. It was the young daughters turn and she chose a unicorn for her father one year because she thought that best represented him.

When your child grows up and moves out, they already have their own collection of ornaments with wonderful memories attached to start their own Christmas tree.
